The rubber rod has a cavity in its center that is simply threaded onto the hook shank. This double arm shifts the paddle under the body of the lure and on each side so as not to interfere with the rotation of the paddles. These two rubber arms are flexible and deform when they come into contact with the bottom and then return to their initial position. Each willow paddle is mounted on a ball-bearing roller for excellent rotation. To prevent the swivels from becoming loaded with algae, they are covered by the rubber rod.
