We know that for some larger sites, the standard C2 needed extra power and this will also suit anglers who like to fish at a distance where most other anglers with lesser tackle just can't reach or match. It may be a strong headwind that requires throwing a larger size of lead or using larger PVA bags. There are so many carp anglers who told Century that they loved their SP for having that fast tapered action which meant that there was enough subtlety in the tip to avoid hook pulls and still a pleasure when playing fish but that as they opened the rod and loaded with a little more energy, the stock section would be used and the rod could deliver all that was required of it.
