Shimano cardiff ci4+ 1000s reel

The Cardiff CI4+ (2018) is the new version of the model released in 2012. This one weighs only 170g! It is specially designed for trout fishing (in reservoirs), with very light casting rods (UL) and lures up to 5g. The Cardiff CI4+ is similar to the Stradic Ci4+, but with some notable differences to make it even more specific for ultra light trout fishing.

Beyond its more classic look (golden spool, dark green frame, cork crank handle...), it has an extra bearing for an even smoother rotation and a really new brake: thanks to the "Area Drag" technology, the brake adjustment is much more precise, and with its rigid Support, the brake is much more stable, even with very careful adjustments. Finally, the brake click is more pronounced to make it easier to hear.
