If you want a strong-smelling groundbait, this is the one for you. Red in color and with the powerful scent of spicy sausage, it's the ideal groundbait for the highly colored waters of commercials or rivers, as fish rely on their sense of smell rather than sight.

Developed on a base of ground granules and fishmeal with added meat and bone meal and spicy sausage flavouring, this is the densest groundbait we can make. Perfect for all species, it has found favour with specialist anglers for carp, barbel, bream and chub.

It can be fished on a Method feeder, through a cage feeder or simply in a ball, it also acts as an excellent support for other baits and we've seen some amazing catches using meat as hook bait.

Mixing tips

Spicy Meaty Method Mix is easy to mix. Empty the 2 kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2-quart maggot tray with water, pour it over the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then leave to stand for 30 minutes, during which time the water will be absorbed by the groundbait. Then, for best results, to remove any lumps and create a homogeneous consistency, strain the starter through a sieve and it's ready to use.
